Long Ago – 610 Lyrics

By Khaleel Muhammad

VERSE 1
Long ago in Arabia
A son was born to Amina
In the shade of the Ka’ba
The child was named by his grandfather
‘Worthy of praise’ and ‘beloved of God’
Held in esteem by the angels above
Al Mustapha – the Chosen One
With this child the dawn of mercy had begun

CHORUS
Sul lul la ala Muhammad
Sul lul la lay he was sellem

Sul lul la ala Muhammad
Sul lul la lay he was sellem

BRIDGE 1
Now as he grew his young boy was orphaned
Yet so beloved by all Quresh
And all the while the heavens prepared him
To be a light and a guide to those who follow him (Muhammad ar Rasul’ Allah)

VERSE 2
Time moves on and since the age of almost three Heaven grants the man a heart of purity
One to take the weight that mountains could not bear
On a lonely night an angel did appear
Muhammad you are the servant of God,
Foretold long ago by the Prophets of old A mercy to the worlds
On the wings of his prayer
His ummah salvations there

BRIDGE 2
Now the incredible words of Rasul’Allah,
Reverberates all around the world.
Ya Allah bless Muhammad

RAISE HIM UP,
Give him light beyond the end of time
RAISE HIM UP,
May his smile be ever shining bright
RAISE HIM UP,
O won’t you give him peace
To Your Grace.

CHORUS

Raise him up
Raise him up
Raise him up
To Your Grace
