Don’t Talk To Me About Muhammad

Don’t Talk To Me About Muhammad Lyrics

It would be such a pleasure to have you come along with me,
I accept your gracious offer of kindness and company.
But as we walk along young man and as you help me with my load,
I’ve only one request as we travel down this road,

Don’t talk to me about Muhammad.
Because of him there is no peace and I have trouble in my mind,
so don’t talk to me about Muhammad
and as we walk along together we will get along just fine,
and as we walk along together we will get along.

That man upsets me so, and so much more than you could know,
I hear of his name and reputation everywhere I go.
Though his family and his clan once knew him as an honest man,
he’s dividing everyone with his claim that “God is One”
So don’t talk to me about Muhammad.

Because of him there is no peace and I have trouble in my mind,
so don’t talk to me about Muhammad
and as we walk along together we will get along just fine,
and as we walk along together we will get along.

He’s misled all the weak ones and the poor ones and the slaves,
They think they’ve all found wealth and freedom following his ways.
He’s corrupted all the youth with his twisted brand of truth
convinced them they all are strong, given them somewhere to belong.

So don’t talk to me about Muhammad.
Because of him there is no peace and I have trouble in my mind,
so don’t talk to me about Muhammad
and as we walk along together we will get along just fine,
and as we walk along together we will get along.

Thank you now young man, you’ve really been so kind
Your generosity and smile are very rare to find.
Let me give you some advice, since you’ve been so very nice,
From Muhammad stay away, don’t heed his words or emulate his way.

And don’t talk about Muhammad,
or you will never have true peace and trouble is all you will find.
So don’t talk about Muhammad
and as you travel down life’s road you will get along just fine.

Now before we part and go, if it’s alright just the same,
may I ask, my dear young man, who you are? What is your name?

Forgive me – what was that? Your words weren’t very clear,
my ears are getting old – sometimes its difficult to hear.
It is truly rather funny, though I’m sure I must be wrong,
but I thought I heard you said that your name is Muhammad……

Muhammad?

Ash haduallah ilaha il Allah wa Ash hadu ana Muhammad ur-Rasulullah.

Oh talk to me Muhammad!
Upon you I pray for peace for you have eased my troubled mind!
Oh talk to me Muhammad
and as we walk along together we will get along just fine,
and as I travel down life’s road I will get along just fine.

      • You know, you should hear and understood this nasyeed until the end.

The story behind this is that there’s a man who help this old person and the old one doesn’t want to hear about our beloved mohammad. Until the end of the conversation, he/she asked the man who help her, who happend to have such a wonderful smile, great attitude and never once talk about muhammad just the way that he/she want.

then she/he realized that the one who’s talking with her/him at that time is in fact Muhammad S.a.w… for that, because of that, she/he falls for islam and convert to islam.

that’s what mr.ali want to tell the world.

        listen carefully.
        understand the lyric…

    • dont be like this.. please take it easy..
this is not what Islam is all about…
      it is about peace..
by swearing and acting bad the non Muslims have something bad to say about Muslims..
      please take it easy….
And only Allah will decide who goes hell
we are all Muslims and should stay united.
The non Muslims only conquer Muslims when the Muslims are dividing, and as such arguing over a nasheed!!
United we stand, devided we fall!!!

Focus on this sentence. You will find that, how great Muhammad is. Even though the person who talks with him at that time didn't know him and say bad things to him, he just stay silence and listen whatever the person want to talk about. And the person along the way.

At last, before they depart, the person finally asked him his name. And that's when he realized that he is talking to Muhammad. That's when the person realize how great Muhammad is. And starting there, he convert to islam and become a muslim and wanted muhammad to talk to him..

It's a great nasyeed people. DO UNDERSTAND IT before you bash on it. We are muslim after all. Think before you said something.

    That's all.

    Assalamualaikum.

    • muslim girl, he didnt say all of this, he is just saying this is what someone else said and he is putting it into a song…
it is nithing offensive because it is based on a true story where a old non muslim lady would have said all of this and then accepted Islam…

  8. Good one… But the real climax is at the end……….. My dear brother and sister just dont listen this naat incomplete.. try to listen it full to understand completely.

And one more thing the Nasheed Artist was a non-muslim (born as David Howard Wharnsby) and later he converted to islam. for more information click the link below.

    • First of all you need to actually know the actual story before you react. I don’t understand why you think it’s necessary to swear but for your kind of information this Nasheed is about an actual story about an old Woman who was walking and talking to Muhammad s.a.w whilst he helped her with her load and at the end she realises that it was Muhammad so she converted into Islam. This is a beautiful story on how the prophet was so noble and calm even though the woman spoke bad about him. And this is what Dawud Wharnsby has tried to show so an advice for you is to actually learn the meaning before getting all angry and impatient.

  9. The Prophet (pbuh) offered to help this woman, and all she does
throughout their encounter is to mock and malign the Prophet (pbuh).
Yet, he says nothing. He continues to help the woman with her load. He
does not lash back at her; he does not pray for God’s destruction upon
her; he does not drop her stuff and let her fend for herself. No. He
helps the woman anyway, and when she finds out who he is, all she could
do was follow him into Islam.

Yet, the fact that she became
Muslim is not the most important aspect of this story. It was the
Prophet’s character thats amazing the most. It is this aspect of the
Prophet’s sunnah that many of us have completely neglected.

  11. This nasheed is on the true incident that happened when an old woman that the prophet (SAW) was walking with. However, at the time she didnt know it was the prophet (SAW). She was insulting him as they were walking together. And at the end she asked him whats ur name and he told her that he’s the prophet(SAW). She then took her shahada (testimony of faith) because she was impressed with the prophets character and personality.

  13. I think muslimgil and Vaneeza are confused. they actually do not understand this beautiful message our brother is trying to portray about our beloved Prophet (SAW). all they bad staements said about the Prophet was a quote from a woman who wasn’t a Muslim before she came in contact with the prophet along a road, probably on a journey. the prophet being a courageous character, was smiling and helping this woman with her load while she continued to lambaste the prophet. but when she discovered that the Muhammad she was lambasting was this same Muhammad smiling and helping her, she was overwhelmed by the prophet’s exceptional courage and moral character and realized that all the bad news about our prophet was mere fabrication by enemies of Islam, and so accepted Islam at once. this is all what the song is narrating. You guys need to read or listen till the end then you will understand. As Muslims we should not be so angered to use offensive langues against our fellow Muslims- MAASHALLAH, SALAMUALAIKUM.

    • If you read the whole thing at the end you’ll see how respectful and patient the Prophet SAW was. He still helped her with her load even though she was talking bad about him. At the end, she realizes that she was talking to the Prophet SAW and sees that the rumors she heard weren’t true. This is what makes her convert to Islam in the end.
